Making a Difference Foundation

The Making a Difference Foundation is a private, non-profit organization, established by CHG Healthcare, dedicated to unleashing the humanitarian passion in others. We believe that one person can create a ripple effect of positive change in the world and often just need the right opportunity and support.

We accomplish this in two ways.

First, we support the passion of CHG employees to give back to the communities where they live and work by providing grants to local non-profits they are actively involved in and by giving sustainable healthcare grants to improve healthcare in communities near our CHG offices.

Secondarily, we help healthcare providers deliver direct healthcare and healthcare education to underserved populations by matching their skills and desires to high quality medical missions. By partnering with world-class mission organizations, we offer providers a variety of opportunities to find their passion of making a difference in the world.

If you provide the passion, we provide the opportunity

Local grants are given to support causes and nonprofit organization that CHG’s employees are actively involved in, including but not limited to: health, education, food, shelter, safety, water, animals, arts, environment, or workplace culture. Non-healthcare grants will range between $500 and $1,500. Grants that provide direct healthcare services or healthcare education to underserved communities can range between $500 to $2,500.

For local grants, please take time to read the eligibility requirements before applying. Requests can be submitted at any time and approval or denials of eligible grants will be made at a monthly meeting of the Making a Difference Foundation officers. Meeting the eligibility requirements for a local grant does not guarantee that the entire grant request will be funded.

Sustainable Healthcare grants are designed to make a meaningful and sustainable impact in the communities where our employees work and live by providing multi-year grants to nonprofit organizations that deliver direct healthcare services or healthcare education to underserved populations.

The foundation will be working with a limited number of organizations in each CHG location and provide grants that range between $10,000 and $30,000 to each partner organization. Grants will be reviewed and renewed on a yearly basis.

If you have questions or know of a non-profit organization that should be considered for a Sustainable Healthcare grants please contact the Making a Difference staff at information@makingadifferencefdn.org.

Medical Missions are the primary way the foundation is helping healthcare providers to make a difference around the world to those who have limited access to healthcare. Our goal is to assist medical providers by providing opportunities for volunteering their time and medical expertise in a humanitarian experience that best fits their philanthropic goals. Medical mission trips allow them to get back to what drew them to medicine, while providing a sense of fulfillment knowing that their efforts result in more people living happy and healthy lives.

Each year the foundation will fund a medical mission trip for each sales division at CHG. These divisionally sponsored trips are provided to attract, retain and recognize CHG’s wonderful healthcare providers. The foundation will also sponsor several missions that are open to any providers who is looking to participate in a trip. If you have a provider who would like to explore a humanitarian opportunity, please have them email us or call us at 866-608-1322.
